Mindful Sport Coaching
Sports and other active lifestyle activities bring great pleasure, accomplishment and overall health benefits to people who participate in them - not to mention the many people that make a living participating in the sport they are passionate about. Unfortunately, this love and dedication to an active lifestyle or sporting career can come with injury, illness, plateaus in fitness or skill and various other setbacks.
One of the greatest barriers to getting through the rehabilitation process or breaking through plateaus is not even a physical barrier - it is in your mind!
This is where my Mindful Sport Coaching program comes in. Using effective coaching tools and guiding you through work on limiting thoughts, my goal is to help you move past the barriers that are hindering your recovery or movement to the next level in your competitive or recreational active life.
Why me, you ask? Well, here are four reasons I can think of:
~ I have a strong understanding of the body systems and how they operate.
~ I work very closely with the mind-body connection through all aspects of my coaching practice and have significant experience and tools to utilize with my clients.
~ I have played sports at levels ranging from recreational to high level and understand what is required both physically and mentally to be your best at any level.
~ I have lived the mental-physical recovery lesson. I suffered a serious knee injury while playing soccer. After two surgeries and significant time spent in pain with limited mobility, my thoughts were often self-defeating or based in fear and attachment to the injury, rather than driving my recovery. In fact, these thoughts served to allow me to feel sorry for myself and fear what the injury could mean, rather than focusing on my recovery through physiotherapy combined with enough rest and Mindful Coaching practices.
I wish I knew then what I know now. My rehabilitation would have looked very different -I would have known how to work inside my head to benefit the physical work on the outside. And thus, I would have created a different, motivating and inspiring reality and recovery story much sooner.

Individual Mindful Sport Coaching
This program is geared towards athletes of all ages and from recreational to professional levels. It is intended to help athletes:
improve their game
release thoughts that are blocking their performance and/or
achieve the mindset required for the best physical and mental recovery from an injury
30-min introductory call - Free
60-min Mindful Sport coaching session-$100
90-min Mindful Sport coaching session- $140

Group/Team Mindful Sport Coaching
This program is directed at:
teams or small groups of athletes looking to improve their cohesiveness and mindful ability to better their performance
medical facilities or professionals that work with groups of athletes working to recover from an injury and return to their sport or just move beyond the thoughts inhibiting their recovery
90-minute group presentation and coaching session - $250
